The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between social adjustment and high-risk sexual behaviors in high school girls. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in terms of data collection. The statistical population of the present study consisted of all female high school students in Tehran in the academic year 1397-98. Through multi-stage cluster random sampling method, two schools were selected from each of the four districts of Tehran (north, south, east and west) and from among the students of these schools, which were 3993, according to Morgan table 35 People were selected as the sample size. The research instruments included a questionnaire on high-risk sexual behaviors and a questionnaire to assess family functioning. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics including correlation and regression. The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between social adjustment and high-risk sexual behaviors.
